Every Sunday morning I like to share 3 random thoughts that are on my mind.

Sometimes these thoughts are about business…

Sometimes they’re about life…

And other times they’re just truly random.

Well this morning, I have a special “3 Sunday Morning Thoughts” for you specifically on writing personality-driven emails for maximum money and maximum influence.

So with that said…

Let’s start with the first thought on my mind…

1.  If you’re a coach, expert or business owner and you want the people on your list to stick around and buy from you year after year, then personality-driven emails are for you

There’s lots of emails that will make you money…

You can do short click-drivers…

You can use affiliate swipes…

But if you want the people on your list to stick around for a year, two years or even five years (and not unsubscribe from you) then personality-driven emails are your ticket.

Why?

Because even when you’re selling stuff with a personality-driven email, you’re still giving them an entertaining story…

Or teaching them something they don’t know…

So the people on your list feel like they’re getting value from your emails.

If you simply say “go buy this”…

Or if you’re just hammering them with the same affiliate emails they see on other lists, they may buy from you…

But they won’t stick around.

Sooner or later they’ll unsubscribe because your emails aren’t bringing any value to their life.

So if you want to combat this…

And you want people to stick around and buy from you year after year…

Then you need to be sending personality driven emails to your list (similar to what I do).

Alright let’s hop to the second thought on my mind this morning about email…

2.  Contrary to what most people think, the more emails you send, the more your list will like you

The first fitness list I had back in 2010, we used to email people twice a week.

I thought that was the most you could email someone without pissing them off.

Now I realize that was B.S.

I currently send on average 7 emails a week.

During launches, I sometimes send 12-15 emails…

And guess what happens?

I have better deliverability on my emails…

And I make more money.

It’s not the doom and gloom I thought it would be.

Sure, some people unsubscribe.

But my unsub rate isn’t any different than when I was sending two emails a week.

Point being…

You can probably send a LOT more emails (and make a lot more money) than you currently are.

Alright let’s hop to the 3rd thought on my mind this morning…

3.  Personality driven emails are probably the most FUN type of copy to write these days

The other day I was talking to A-list copywriter Dan Ferrari and we were discussing the recent emails we wrote for Brent Charleton’s launch, and Dan mentioned “writing those emails was the most fun I’ve had with copy in a while”.

Basically his take was that with personality driven emails there’s not so many rules…

And that opens up a lot more room for creativity, vulnerability and story telling…

And because of that, they’re a lot of fun to write.

I know with my emails, I actually look forward to writing them each day.

Cause it doesn’t feel like work to me.

It’s more like sharing my story through writing.

And for me that’s a lot more fun than cranking out run-of-the-mill email copy that sounds like every other email out there.

So there ya go…

Those are the 3 things that are on my mind this morning.

Hope you got a nugget or two from this.

As a reminder, I’m going to be re-opening my course on how to write “Justin style emails” tomorrow.

That course has been closed since I launched it in October…

But if you’re interested in using personality-driven emails (like mine) to sell stuff and to get people foaming at the mouth to read your emails day after day, and year after year…

Then you should probably check this out.

More details to come tomorrow…

Enjoy your Sunday,

– Justin
