Every Sunday morning I like to write about 3 random things that are on my mind.
Sometimes these things are about business…
Sometimes they’re about life…
And other times they’re just truly random.
So with that said…
Let’s hop into the first thing on my mind this morning…
1. After two years of evading COVID, I finally got whacked last week
Last Saturday, I started to feel a little “off”.
My nose was all clogged up…
And my head was stuffy.
I just assumed it was my allergies acting up, so I didn’t think much of it.
However after it lasted a few days, I decided to take a COVID test.
And what do ya know, it was positive.
Luckily for me, my symptoms were pretty mild.
I felt a little tired…
And had some neck aches…
But overall it wasn’t any different than how I feel with allergies or a head cold.
So I wound up taking Paxlovid…
A bunch of supplements…
And I made sure I got 60 minutes of sun a day.
That seems to have worked…
Cause both yesterday and today I tested negative.
So looks like I’m in the clear.
Anyways…
I know of at least 4-5 people just in my friend group that got hit with COVID this week, so it looks like this new strain is quite viral.
Alright, let’s hop to the second thought on my mind this morning…
2. My semi-retirement has spurred a lot more creativity when it comes to my business
After selling Copy Accelerator a few weeks ago, I’ve noticed that my creativity has really opened up.
For example here’s a few things I’m thinking of doing…
– an email copy mentorship/certification where you get 1-on-1 feedback from me on your email copy
– an advanced copywriting retreat with Dan Ferrari (we’ll hold this somewhere that we can surf in the morning and work on advanced copy strategies in the afternoon)
– a course called “The End Game” that shows you my blueprint for being able to retire at the age of 38 (this will cover everything from maximizing your income to investing)
– a 1-day training on how I write my daily emails, and how you can use similar personality-based emails to make a LOT of moolah without being super salesy
I have a whole notebook with ideas like this…
But these are a few that I’m excited about.
Some of these ideas I’ve wanted to do for a while…
And I just wasn’t able to do them with Copy Accelerator being my main focus.
So now that I have more time…
I’m feeling excited to pursue the stuff I truly want to do.
And that’s a good feeling.
Alright let’s do one more of these and wrap up for the morning.
3. The amount of knowledge at your fingertips because of Youtube is astounding
One of the things I’ve been doing more of lately is simply watching Youtube (instead of watching Netflix or something similar).
For example…
Yesterday I watched a 45 minute discussion with Dr. Rhonda Patrick on the benefits of saunas (and I learned that there’s a 60% decrease in all-cause mortality if you sauna 4+ times a week, which is pretty crazy)…
I also watched a video by Daniel Negreanu (pro poker player) where he broke down a famous hand with him and Phil Ivey and his thinking behind each and every move he made.
After that I watched a video where Ray Dalio gave his thoughts on what’s going on with the economy, and where he sees things going from here.
So I got to learn from a world-famous doctor, one of the best poker players ever, and one of the best hedgefund managers ever.
And it was all free on Youtube.
What’s interesting is that we all just take this for granted now.
But just 8-10 years ago, this wasn’t normal.
Back then, Youtube wasn’t what it is today.
And now-a-days you can learn anything you want to know about skateboarding, investing, gardening, fixing a watch or even managing your diabetes…
It’s all on there.
It just takes a little initiative on your part.
People from 20, 30 or 50 years ago would have loved to have this info.
And now you have it.
So I suggest taking advantage of it.
Alright, I need to wrap this up.
Time for me to eat.
Hope ya got a nugget or two from this…
Enjoy your Sunday,
– Justin
