I want to give you a little behind-the-scenes look into my Upsell Mastery launch…
Let’s dig in…
First off, I knew this launch would be nowhere near as big as my 1000 Buyers A Day launch back in July.
Why?
Cause most of the people on my list are already subscribers to my print newsletter (from the 1000 Buyers A Day launch).
So that meant none of those people would be buying this time around (since Upsell Mastery was a bribe to join my print newsletter)
Also…
Upsell Mastery is a pretty niche product.
It’s main appeal is to serious offer owners…
And copywriters who are already doing well.
It doesn’t have a lot of appeal to newbies.
Which limited the number of people who were gonna buy it.
So Upsell Mastery had a lot of stuff working against it.
And I knew it wouldn’t bring in anywhere near as many buyers as the first launch.
In fact, my goal at the start of this launch was 100 new buyers.
If I hit 100 buyers, I’d be happy.
Turns out, I was pretty accurate with that prediction.
Cause by the end of the launch, I wound up getting 116 new buyers.
Which is great.
Most of these buyers are SERIOUS marketers.
Which is what I want.
They’re the kind of subscriber that will really enjoy the print newsletter.
And they’ll stick around for years to come.
So that was good.
Honestly, the launch overall was pretty uneventful.
I just basically followed the same launch strategy I did last time.
I emailed everyday.
I made some posts in our Facebook group.
And then a few of the days I emailed multiple times during the day.
That was the whole strategy.
So nothing too exciting.
But I did have a big realization during the launch.
And it’s one that could change the course of my business in 2021.
My realization was that the size of my list is what’s holding me back.
My list is only 2700 people.
Which is quite small.
If my list was 7500 people…
Or 10,000 people…
I could easily scale the print newsletter to 1000 subscribers.
So my big focus for 2021 is going to be growing my email list.
I want to get more offer owners and copywriters on this list.
I have a few ideas of how to do this.
From lead gen…
To low-ticket offers…
And I’m gonna explore all those in a planning session next week.
But I wanted to share this cause it was one of those “ah ha” moments for me.
I’ve gotten a LOT out of this tiny list.
It’s helped me build Copy Accelerator into a multi-million dollar business.
I launched my print newsletter, and got 514 subscribers right out of the gate.
So it’s done well so far.
But if I want to take some of my products to the next level, then I’m gonna need a bigger audience.
So that’s my big focus for 2021.
Growing this list.
And in turn growing my print newsletter.
