I’ve been getting a lot of questions from people in their 20’s lately, so let’s do a little “wisdom sesh” on my recommendation for what to do in your 20’s…

In my experience, your 20’s can go one of two ways…

1.  You hustle non-stop, work 12 hours a day, and you start building your business (or a skillset like copywriting).

This means your life is mostly about work.

So you’ll prolly miss out on stuff like backpacking around Europe or raving every weekend til 6 AM.

But you’re on your grind…

And you’re making good money so you keep doing it.

There’s a lot of “pros” to this path…

Getting started early allows you to make money…

Which allow you to invest at a young age (which will compound into a lot of money).

So you’ll most likely be in a better position financially.

And that matters later on if you want to buy nice things, have a house, start a family etc…

So this path has a lot of upside…

However like everything, there’s “cons” to this path as well…

One of the big ones is the fact that you’re probably gonna miss out on some epic travel experiences…

Or years of partying with your friends…

Sure you can still take vacations and have fun…

But you’re not gonna be experiencing the epic experiences in Columbia or Amstredamn if you’re always on the grind.

So this path has it’s “good” and it’s “bad”.

For clarity, this is the path that I took.

And it worked out well for me.

I had some financial success in my 20’s…

But more than anything, this path set me up to really make a lot of money in my 30’s.

So I don’t regret taking it….

Now in contrast to this, there’s another path that I see a lot of people in their 20’s taking.

And this one is much less about making money.

It’s all about having fun.

2.  Path #2 would be the “your 20s are for exploring and trying new things” path.

I have a few friends who did this…

So their 20s were mostly about living in Bali for 4 months…

Or being a surf instructor in Costa Rica…

They just kind of lived day to day…

There was no long term plan…

And they didn’t focus on making money.

Or building wealth…

It was all about living in the moment.

And they seemed to really enjoy it.

Now just like the other path, there are pros and cons to doing this in your 20’s.

If you take this path, you’re gonna have experiences and stories that most people will never have.

I mean most people wait til retirement to do anything fun.

But if you do the “explore and make mistakes” path in your 20’s you’ll have a lifetime of amazing experiences that can’t be replicated when you get older.

Cause when you’re in your 20’s you have the energy to backpack across Europe…

You can sleep on a friend’s couch for a month without your back hurting…

You can fly to random countries without any care of responsibiities…

So it’s a great time to explore.

And if that’s your goal, you’ll probably have a lot of fun.

Obviously there’s downsides to this path as well.

And those are usually financial in nature.

If you take this path, you’re not really building a skillset…

Or a business…

So when you hit your 30’s, you probably won’t be sitting on a bunch of moolah.

Which means things like buying a house or being able to support a family are tough…

So you have to think about that.

And really it all boils down to what you want…

What matters to you?

If I had to do it all again, I would probably still stay focused on building my business…

And learning copywriting…

But at the same time, I’d allow myself to have a lot more fun.

I’d do all that while living in Bali for a month…

Or in a hostel in Costa Rica…

That way I’d get the best of both worlds.

I’d be meeting new people, and having epic experiences…

But I’d also be making decent money.

I might not make as much as I would if I just grinded all-day, everyday…

But I think the end result would be best.

I’d get money and epic experiences.

So there ya go…

A little advice for ya if you’re in your 20’s…

Obviously feel free to do what you want…

But that’s what I’d do if I had to do it all over again.

Hope this was helpful.
