Yesterday I gave some advice on what I would do if I was in my 20s again…
My conclusion was that I’d still focus on building a business…
But I’d allow myself to have a lot more fun doing that.
I’d live in different parts of the world…
I’d meet new people…
And instead of trying to be a millionaire as fast as possible, I’d probably be happy making 6-figures and living more while in my 20’s.
Which kind of ties in with what I want to talk about today.
If you’re tapped into the copywriting community, you probably saw the news that Eric Panter passed away this morning.
If you don’t know Eric, he was an incredible copywriter that was loved by everyone.
He wrote copy for my friends Jason Capital and Dave Sinick (Paleohacks).
But more important than his copy skills…
He was just a good dude that lived life to the fullest.
He didn’t want to wait til retirement to “have fun”.
He just did what he wanted.
Whether that was living in the Phillipenes…
Or quitting his paralegal job to become a copywriter…
I really admired that he just went after what he wanted.
Cause most people are NOT like that.
Most people sacrifice their entire life in the hopes that they can retire at 65 and start living life then.
But Eric wasnt onboard with that philosophy.
He wanted to live life NOW.
That’s something I’m trying to do more of in my own life…
We don’t really know when all this is gonna end…
So waiting to do what you want is a risky play.
Cause that day may never come.
I saw this with my friend Rob who passed away from cancer back in June.
And seeing it again today with Eric…
The time to do what you want is NOW.
Not “someday” in the future.
But now.
Eric was a shining example of that…
So I’m gonna try to embody that more from now on.
And I hope you will too.
