Something I’ve been trying to get clear on lately is what’s my “why” when it comes to business.
For example…
I believe my biggest “why” is freedom.
I want the freedom to live where I want…
To create the content I want…
And to work when I want.
The idea of being in an office and taking orders from someone sounds like my version of hell.
I want to be my own boss.
And control my own destiny.
So a big part of my “why” is freedom.
Another big part of my “why” is contribution.
For me that means helping abused and abandoned dogs find a loving home.
There’s a Great Dane rescue here in Texas that I help with already…
I help transport the rescue dogs to new homes…
I donate a bunch of money to the rescue…
However, one of my goals for 2021 is to make this a bigger part of my life.
I feel like I can help more.
I can donate more…
And I can get more involved with helping the rescue with their fundraising…
Basically I know I could help them save a lot more dogs.
Which would be very fulfilling for me.
So that’s a big “why” for me.
I have more “whys” for sure…
But those are two of the big ones for me.
And I shared these with you for a specific reason…
Whatever your “why” is, it helps to know it.
Your “why” might be that you simply want to make a bunch of dough so you can do what you want…
Or maybe you want your kids to have a better life than you…
Or maybe you want to change the world with whatever it is you sell.
It doesn’t matter what your why is…
It only matters that it’s important to you.
Cause you can use it to guide your decisions.
And make sure you’re not deviating from your “why”.
So if you don’t know your “why” yet…
Give it some thought.
It’ll help you get more clear on why you do what you do.
Enjoy your Monday,
