Seeing all the Memorial Day posts on Instagram this morning has me feeling grateful for the freedoms I have.
I know this is something I usually take for granted.
Living in the US, all I’ve ever known is freedom.
But when I see the suffering people go through in places like North Korea or Syria, it really hits home how good I have it.
Cause those people really have no options…
They have no ability to pave their own path.
Everything I teach about entrepreneurship, and the freedom that goes with it, isn’t even available to them.
Which is incredibly sad.
They’re just stuck.
I can’t even contemplate what that would feel like.
It would be miserable.
And hopeless.
Which is why I’m feeling very grateful this morning for the freedoms I have.
I know America isn’t perfect…
And lord knows we have a ton of problems…
But in the grand scheme of things, we are a free country.
I can say what I want to you…
I can start a business…
I can pursue the stuff that matters to me.
And that’s really beautiful when you think about it.
Cause that freedom is essential for a life lived on your terms.
You can’t be an individual without it.
Anyways…
This morning, I’m just feeling extremely grateful for the freedoms I have.
And for the people who have defended those freedoms.
Freedom is a fickle thing…
And it can be gone quickly without people willing to do the right thing.
Alright, I need to wrap this up and head out for a walk.
