One thing I’ve always tried to do is NOT get too high or too low no matter how good (or bad) things are going in my life.
Case in point…
This last month has been a real struggle for me.
Why?
Well when I was in Mexico in early April, I wound up getting E. Coli from a steak I ate.
For most people, this kind of thing goes away in 7-14 days and they’re back to normal.
But that didn’t happen for me.
The E Coli seems to have triggered a flare-up with my Crohn’s disease (which was under control before).
So the last few weeks have been hell.
I lost a bunch of weight…
I don’t have any energy…
And I’m running to the bathroom 10+ times a day.
It’s not fun.
And all of this is wearing on me emotionally.
I feel helpless…
I can’t go anywhere…
I have a hard time leaving my house…
I was supposed to do a consulting day with Stefan and a coach we hired a few weeks ago, and I had to cancel that.
I was also supposed to go see my nephew in Charleston this past weekend (who I haven’t been able to see yet since he was born) and I had to cancel that as well.
So it’s been a rough couple of weeks for me.
And I’m feeling down.
Now I’m not writing this for a pity party…
Reason I’m sharing this is because I want to show you that no matter how good (or bad) things are going for you, that will eventually change.
Which is why I always try to not get too high when things are good…
And I try to not get too low when things are bad…
Cause I’ve learned that neither will last.
You’ll always have tough times…
And you’ll always have good moments as well…
And the more you’re aware that neither of those will last, the better off you’ll be.
And that applies to your business, your copy career, your personal life and everything in between.
It’s a good outlook to have…
And one that can help ya when things are down.
So keep it in mind…
And enjoy your Wednesday,
– Justin
