Something that’s been on my mind lately is that no matter how successful you are, you’re still gonna have struggles.

Case in point…

By most metrics I have a pretty damn good life.

I’m financially successful…

I have a great group of friends…

I love the city I live in…

I don’t worry about making rent…

I have no fears of a war breaking out where I live…

So it’s a pretty damn good life.

And it’s a life most people would love to have.

However…

As good as my life is…

It’s not without struggles.

I used to think that when I got to a certain point in life (i.e. I had a bunch of money), I’d never have problems again.

Well that’s not the way things work.

You’re always gonna have problems.

They’ll just be different problems from the ones you’re used to.

I’ll give you an example…

For the last few months I’ve been on a sabattical from copywriting, and my life has basically consisted of…

Going to the gym…

Hanging with friends…

Laying by the pool…

Walking the trail…

And just generally enjoying life…

Which has been great….

And incredibly relaxing…

But even a life like this, still has problems.

For example…

A big problem I’ve been dealing with lately is losing my identity as an entrepreneur.

Why?

Well, I’ve spent the last 20 years being an entrepreneur.

It’s who I am…

It’s what I love to do…

And it’s where I get a lot of my self worth from.

But now that I’m not working anymore…

And I’m not building anything…

I’m having a hard time understanding just who I am (and what my value is).

Which is a big mind-fuck.

Some days I feel empty…

Other days I feel like a ship that’s drifting aimlessly.

It’s just a lot of uncertainty.

So even though my life is good on many levels…

I still have things I struggle with.

Are my struggles the worst struggles in the world?

Of course not.

But they’re still struggles.

And that illustrates the point I want to make.

No matter how much money you make…

And no matter how good your life might look from the outside…

You’re still gonna struggle.

The struggles never truly go away.

They just change.

Hope this was helpful for you…
