I just ran a prompt through ChatGPT to see what kind of customer research it could do.

I told GPT to give me a list of the fears that might be going on in the head of a 55 year-old woman named Jane who wants to lose weight…

Here’s what it said…

She worries that her appearance may affect her confidence, relationships, and opportunities for personal and career growth.

All in all, this is incredibly indepth.

And it’s better than the research that 99% of copywriters would do.  

But the crazy thing is, that was just the “fears” that it spit out.

After this, I asked it even more questions like “what are some of the emotional outcomes Jane is looking for with losing weight”…

Jane wants to participate in activities that she previously avoided due to self-consciousness, feeling liberated and exhilarated (traveling, tennis, walking with her friends each morning)

Jane wants to look in the mirror and feel joy and self-acceptance, appreciating her body instead of criticizing it

Jane wants to be praised and admired by her husband, children, and loved ones for her dedication, resilience, and stunning physical transformation.

Jane wants to inspire her kids and serve as a role model for them, teaching them the importance of taking care of themselves

Jane wants to break free from the chains of self-doubt and insecurities, embracing her worthiness and realizing that she deserves all the happiness life has to offer.

This is pretty incredible…

I’ve coached hundreds of copywriters in my life, and I can tell you from experience that 99% of copywriters do not understand their buyer on this level.
