Last night I wrapped up a promo for an affiliate offer that made me nearly $31k over the seven days I promoted it.
I know people love getting an inside look at what’s working for me, so in this email I’m gonna share one of my big takeaways from this promo.
My hope is that you take this info and use it with your list (or with one of your clients).
Sound good?
Alright, let’s dig in.
Out of all the insights I had from this promo, my biggest one was this…
When you find an offer that does well to your list, promote it again and again with a payment plan
Last year I promoted Tanner & Jerrod’s email course at the full price ($997) and during that promo I made 33 sales which brought me $16,500 in commissions.
Which was solid.
However, if I were to promote their course again at the same price point, it most likely would not do as well.
Why?
Cause my list has already seen the offer.
So if I promoted it again, I’m guessing it’d probably bring in like $9k or so…
So a lot less than the first one.
Which is not very appealing to me.
However…
I’ve learned that if you take that same offer and you offer people a payment plan on it…
They will gobble it up.
Which is what we did this past week.
Instead of selling Tanner & Jerrod’s course for $997 like we did last time…
We changed it to $97 upfront and then three monthly payments of $297.
Since it’s only $97 upfront, it’s easier for people to buy.
Cause the remainder of the payments are spread out over a three month span.
This simply makes it easier on people’s cash flow…
Which is nice around the holidays…
But here’s the thing…
As much as this is a great deal for the buyer…
It’s also a homerun for me.
Why?
Cause when I offer a payment plan, a lot more people buy.
Look at these stats…
When I promoted this same course last year at the full price point, I made 33 sales.
However, when I promoted it this past week with the payment plan, I made 97 sales.
So overall, I nearly tripled the amount of sales!
Which is huge.
Now one thing to note…
And you may be wondering this…
Not all of the people who buy on a payment plan will follow through and make all their monthly payments.
That’s normal.
I’m not expecting every single payment to come in.
But in my experience when running these promos, about 70% of the payments that are supposed to come in, will come in.
So if that happens…
This promo will make me around $31k.
Which when compared to the first time I promoted it at full price, this is nearly DOUBLE the amount of commissions.
So it’s a big, big win.
I make more money…
And the people buying it get a better deal as well.
Point being…
Payment plans simply work.
I’ve run three promos using payment plans…
And every single one of them was a homerun.
So I’m gonna keep doing ’em.
Anyways…
Hope this was insightful for you…
Feel free to implement this strategy on your own email list (or for one of your clients).
I’ll be back tomorrow with another “insider lesson” I took away from this launch.
Until then…
Enjoy your Monday,
