After every launch I do, I like to share some of the lessons I learned from the launch with you.
Why?
So that way you can take what I learned…
And you can use it for yourself (or your clients)…
And you can make some moolah with it.
Sound good?
Alright, let’s get into it.
First things first….
The launch I just wrapped up was for my “13 Most Profitable Emails” training.
This is one of my favorite trainings…
And I love promoting it cause I think it’s insanely valuable.
Overall I made 158 sales of the training (at $197 each)…
So I pulled in around $29,658.
Which is better than I expected.
I’ve already promoted this training twice to my list before…
The first time I sold it, it did $54k in sales…
The second time it did $22k in sales…
So I wasn’t sure what this launch would do.
However…
I do have a bunch of new people on my list these days.
So I figured a good chunk of them would buy.
And looking at the data, that’s exactly what happened.
And because of that…
I was able to pull in $29k on this launch even though this was my third time promoting the offer in the last ten months.
So overall I’m happy with how it went.
And I’ve already gotten a few testimonials from people who are raving about the training, so all-in-all it was a good launch.
So that’s the numbers portion of the launch…
Now in terms of the lessons learned…
I had one lesson that really stood out during this launch…
And that was…
“If you have proven emails for a launch, you don’t have to reinvent the wheel and come up with new emails for the next time you promote it. You can just re-use the emails that were proven to work in past launches”
Here’s what I mean by that…
Since I promoted this offer twice before…
I knew which emails would do well…
And which ones would not do well…
So what I did this time around was simply re-use the emails that did well (with some minor edits to them)…
And then I cut out the bottom 30% of emails that didn’t do well last time (and I replaced those with new emails that I wrote this past week).
So out of the 17 emails I sent during this launch…
12 of them were old emails that had been proven to do well in the past…
And then I wrote 5 new emails this past week.
This made the launch super easy.
Which was really helpful, especially because I had my parents in town for a good chunk of the launch.
So simply re-using the proven emails from past launches made things much easier.
That’s something I’ve done before…
But this time I really leaned on it…
And it did great.
So the lesson here is simple…
If you have proven emails from a previous launch…
And you’re launching a product for the second (or third) time…
There’s no reason to write all new emails.
You can simply use the ones that did well before…
And replace the ones that didn’t do well…
And if you do that…
The launch will be a breeze.
There’s no need to make more work for yourself…
Or to try and reinvent the wheel when you have something that’s proven to work.
So keep that in mind…
And enjoy your Wednesday,
– Justin
