One of the most effective marketing tactics I use is something I learned at a prom after-party in highschool.
Here’s the story…
In highschool, the house you go to after prom is always a big deal.
Why?
Because certain houses are cool to be at…
While others are not so cool…
Well when I was in highschool, my friend Shawn always had a prom after-party that was one of the cool ones you wanted to be invited to.
Why?
Well for one, his older brother would always smuggle Natty Light and Mike’s Hard Lemonade into the house for us.
So that was great.
Plus his parents had a hot tub…
So being drunk and half-naked with your prom date in the hot tub was like a dream come true.
So because of this, everyone wanted to be invited to Shawn’s party.
You didn’t want to get left out.
And you certainly didn’t want to hear about all the fun they had that you didn’t get to be a part of.
Lesson being…
The fear of missing out on what the “cool kids” are doing is a powerful motivator.
I’ve personally used this angle for years…
Like for our upcoming Copy Accelerator event, I’m constantly talking about all the “heavy hitters” that will be in attendance.
Whether it’s 8 and 9-figures businesses like VShred, Paleohacks, Basement Beasts, Legacy Research, Performance Golf Zone, Traffic & Funnels, Weiss Research, Mike Tyson’s IM-21, or Agora Financial…
Or it’s the fact that A-list copywriters like Stefan Georgi, Ian Stanley, Dan Ferrari, Kim Krause Schwalm, Marcella Allison, Mike Abramov, Ning Li, Sabah Karimi, Pauline Longdon, Mario Castelli and Kevin Rogers will be there.
Or the fact that marketing wiz’s like Alen Sultanic, Ron Lynch, Jason Capital, Troy Ericson, Ed Scow and Rich Schefren will be in attendance.
I hit on all this.
And I keep talking about it.
Cause it makes most people think “oh shit, I want to be in that room”.
The same reason I wanted to be at Shawn’s after-prom party, is the same reason you might want to be at our Copy Accelerator event.
It’s where everyone will be.
The talks will be legendary…
And the connections made will change your life.
So I guess what I’m saying is…
I hope you take me up on this and apply for a ticket.
We’re getting down to the wire.
The event starts in 12 days.
And we are going to close the ticket sales soon.
So if you want to be a part of this event…
Whether that’s in person…
Or virtually…
Then I suggest you apply for one of the few sit-in seats that are remaining.
You can get all the details on the event, and apply for a seat right here.
