This is my actual tax return from 2021 that my accountant just sent over to me…
That part in green is the amount of money I made from my business (a little over $1.2 million).
And in this email I’m going to breakdown exactly where that money came from (and also share the one thing that really propelled all of that income)…
So let’s dig in…
The $1.2 million broke down like this…
Copy Accelerator – $1,012,859
Justin Goff Marketing Letter (RIP) – $87,000
Referrals to service providers (merchant accounts, tax services etc) – $85,937
Affiliate Promos – $14,204
So overall it was a good year…
Copy Accelerator (the coaching program I used to run w/ Stefan Georgi) made up the bulk of my income.
My print newsletter also had a few good months before I shut it down (I shut it down to put more focus on Copy Accelerator).
Lastly, I made a little over $100k simply from referral commissions and affiliate promos to my list.
So that’s where all my income came from.
Now here’s what’s interesting to me…
Every single dollar I just listed for you was generated because of one thing…
My emails.
Every Copy Accelerator member that enrolled in the program came from my email list (or my partner Stefan’s email list)…
Nearly every buyer of my print newsletter came from a launch I did to my list in 2020 (I believe that launch brought in 470+ buyers at $197 a month)
And then the 6-figures I made from affiliate promos and referrals also came directly from my email list as well.
So my email list was the central hub for every dollar I made.
Email is my bread and butter.
And if you’re able to write fun, personality driven emails like I do, then you can make a whole lot of moolah (with very little work).
Cause those emails create a real bond…
