One of my favorite things in life is watching someone quit a 9-5 job that they hate and see them catch on as a copywriter and start raking in $5k, $10k or even $20k a month.
Which is exactly what happened to Jerrod Harlan.
Just a few years ago, Jerrod was stuck workin a number of crappy sales jobs.
So he was on a car lot all day selling used cars…
After that he was stuffed inside a smelly gym selling personal training packages…
He hated doing face-to-face sales…
And couldn’t stand taking orders from a dipshit boss that didn’t know what he was talking about…
So needless to say, Jerrod wanted out.
He wanted something more…
Something where he could be his own boss, and make the kind of money that he wanted to make.
Well, luckily for Jerrod a random encounter at Barnes & Nobles would put him on that path.
One day he was killing time in Barnes & Nobles (cause he didn’t want to go back to work) and he stumbled on a book sitting all by itself…
It was called The Ultimate Sales Letter.
And it was written by the great Dan Kennedy.
At the time, Jerrod had never heard of copywriting before…
But coming from the sales world, the idea made a lot of sense to him.
So he plopped down at a table and read Dan’s book cover to cover in one sitting.
By the time he hit the last page, Jerrod was hooked…
He wanted to get into copywriting…
However…
Like a lot of people, Jerrod was stuck in that weird spot of having no copy experience and not knowing anyone in the industry.
So what did he do?
He did what most people do.
He procrastinated.
He watched tons of videos on copywriting…
And read books about it.
So he felt like he was making progress…
But he wasn’t actually doing any writing.
So he wasn’t getting better at copy.
While all this was going on, something completely unexpected in his life happened that lit a fire under his ass like no other.
His wife got pregnant.
Reality started to set in…
8 months from now Jerrod was going to be a father for the first time.
Which scared the shit out of him.
He didn’t feel like he could provide for a child at the time.
And he certainly didn’t want to be that dad who couldn’t take care of his family.
So what did he do?
He dove head first into copywriting.
So he wrote some sample email copy (for practice) for businesses that he just made up.
One was a New Years day promo that a gym could send to their email list…
Another was a Mother’s day promo that a flower shop could mail to their customers.
All this practice was helping him to get better at copy…
And while he was practicing his writing, he was also networking like a mad man.
Jerrod was super active in numerous copywriting groups on Facebook.
He was always asking questions…
And reaching out to the established copywriters in the group.
It was a lot of hustle on his part…
But eventually it all paid off for him.
Cause just a few months after this, Jerrod landed his first paying client!
It was a guy in the biz-opp niche, and he said he’d pay him $3000 a month to write copy for him.
Jerrod couldn’t believe it…
He wasn’t even sure how he got the gig…
But it was his first paying gig.
So it was a life-changing moment.
Landing that gig gave him the confidence to know that this wasn’t just a pipe dream.
He could actually be a copywriter.
And things only got better from there…
Cause a few weeks after this, Jerrod landed another client in the survival niche who offered to pay him between $1500 and $2500 to write sales pages for him.
So between his two copywriting jobs, Jerrod was pulling in around $5k a month.
Which was enough money for him to quit his sales job…
And enough for him to provide for his growing family.
Like I said this only happened a few years ago…
And if you fast forward to today, Jerrod has taken it up another notch and is regularly pulling in between $22k-$28k a month writing email copy.
He’s also established himself as one of the best email copywriters in the world.
So in a 4 year span, he went from working crappy sales jobs where he was barely getting by…
To now living a life that most people can only dream of.
He works when he wants…
He doesn’t take orders from anyone…
And he’s able to provide a nice, cushy life for his family that was never possible with his previous jobs.
So kudos to Jerrod…
He deserves every bit of success he’s had.
And if you’re reading this thinking you’d like to follow in his foot-steps, here’s my suggestion for you…
Just like Jerrod did, start with learning how to write email copy.
Why?
Because it’s short and to the point, so it’s the easiest form of copy to learn…
That’s the truth.
And there’s a lot of ways you can learn email copy…
You can study the copy on certain direct response lists…
You can watch videos on Youtube about it.
But if you want to get really good at email copy…
Like good enough that you can pull in $10k or $20k a month…
I suggest you learn from Jerrod.
Specifically through his email copy course called the 7-Figure Email Machine…
In the course, he breaks down his infamous “PWAT method” for writing high-converting emails in 15 minutes or less.
He shows you exactly how to write these emails…
How to come up with subject lines…
And he even gives you copy templates that you can swipe and use when writing for clients.
So he makes it super easy for you…
And if you just follow his advice, you’ll get pretty damn good at email copy (and you’ll be able to land clients because of that).
So that’s my advice…
One note – If you’re interested in checking out Jerrod’s email copy course, I would do it now because he’s running a special deal on it this week for Thanksgiving.
Normally the course is $997.
And at that price, it’s a steal…
But during the special Thanksgiving deal he’s having, you can try the course on a payment plan.
So it’s just $97 upfront…
And then you can pay the rest at a later date if you get value from it.
That’s a hell of a deal if you ask me.
But the deal is only good until Sunday.
So if you want to take advantage of this, I suggest you snag a copy today while you can.
You can get all the details, and see the special Thanksgiving deal at the link below…
-> Get the course for just $97 upfront (and pay the rest at a later date)
