Ever have one of those days when your writing just isn’t clicking?
Well, I’m having one of those today.
So instead of my normal email…
I’m just gonna share a few things with you that are on my mind…
1. If you haven’t seen the new Showtime miniseries about Roger Ailes (the former head of Fox News), I highly suggest watching it. Russell Crowe plays Roger Ailes and does a brilliant job.
The whole show is an in-depth look at what Roger knew about persuasion. And about influencing people. You get to see the beginning days of Fox News all the way through to Roger’s downfall and his scandals during the Me-Too movement.
I watched it a few weeks ago, and probably will watch it again. It’s that good.
2. Last week I sat down with a friend of mine who wants to create her first online course about healing adrenal fatigue.
She told me all about the course. And how it was going to be 50+ videos showing people every single way to fix adrenal fatigue.
I stopped her.
“Nobody wants 50 videos on adrenal fatigue” I said. “All they want is to feel better. So teach them the 3-5 things that can make them feel better as soon as possible.”
She didn’t really like my answer.
Why?
Cause she’s REALLY into talking adrenal fatigue.
She was thinking about it from HER perspective, and not the customer’s perspective.
This is a big lesson.
And one that will make you a lot of money if you follow it. People don’t want long, complicated solutions for their problems.
Just give them the 2-3 things that will really move the needle for them.
3. Everytime I travel, I realize more and more just how much I love being at home.
I like my routine.
I like hanging with George.
I don’t actually like traveling that much.
And this took me a while to learn.
Cause when I first started making good money, I was traveling ALL the time.
What’s funny is that I wasn’t doing it because I wanted to travel.
I was traveling simply because that’s what I saw every other entrepreneur doing.
I thought that’s what you were supposed to do.
Backpack around Europe…
Lay on the beach in Turks & Caicos…
So I did a lot of that.
And the more I did it, the more I realized, I simply like being at home.
That’s what’s fun for me.
You might be different.
You might love traveling.
Either way, the key is figuring out what YOU actually like.
And then doing it.
You don’t want to be like I was and just traveling cause you see everyone else doing it.
Find what works for you.
And enjoy it.
I can’t really think of anything else to share with you today, so I’m gonna wrap this up.
If you’re new to my list, feel free to reply to this email and introduce yourself.
I read every reply I get (and respond to most of them)
So feel free to say hello.
I’ll be back tomorrow with more…
