Back in 2020 when COVID hit, Lana Sova’s income dropped 90% in a week.
At the time she was a personal trainer at a gym…
But the city of Boston wasn’t taking any chances, and they shut down all the gyms.
Which meant no more personal training sessions for her.
So her income went from about $8k a month to about $900 a month.
Which was a disaster…
“After laying on my floor and crying for a few days, I finally decided it was time to figure something else out” she said.
At that point Lana turned to copywriting…
She had already been reading a few copy books to help her get personal training clients…
But now she decided to go all-in on it.
However…
It wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows for Lana.
She really struggled at first.
Especially with the language.
You see, Lana had just learned English about 6 years before this when she moved to the U.S.
English was not her native language.
So not only did she have to learn all the ins-and-outs of writing copy…
But she also had to learn all about grammar and common phrases that Americans used.
So she had a lot on her plate…
But Lana is a tough cookie…
And she was determined to figure it out.
Which she did.
Cause if you fast forward to today, Lana is THRIVING as a copywriter.
Her copywriting biz is currently bringing in $8k-$10k a month for her.
But what’s even cooler is that she’s now able to live a true “laptop lifestyle”.
She can work from anywhere…
And live anywhere (which she’s currently doing in Mexico).
It’s a pretty amazing story.
Which is why I sat down with Lana to get her to spill some of her secrets on how she was able to go from nothing to $10k a month so quickly…
We talk about how she got her first client…
What she would do differently if she had to do it all over again…
And even some of the self-doubt she went through in her first year as a copywriter.
Lana’s story is truly inspiring, so if you’re a copywriter (or an aspiring copywriter) I suggest you watch our interview that I just put up on Youtube.
