Nearly every copywriter I know has a 2-3 hour block of time where they get wayyyy more writing done than any other time of the day.
For example…
I write my best early in the morning.
Why?
Cause it’s quiet.
And there’s no distractions going on.
My phone isn’t full of texts…
And the Amazon guy isn’t ringing the doorbell every 10 minutes with a new package.
It’s just me and my laptop.
So I sit down and I write my daily email.
And for me, writing this email is the most important thing in my business.
It’s what connects me to you…
And it’s where I sell my trainings and courses.
So for me, writing this email each day is priority numero uno.
And I know from experience that if I don’t write my email first thing in the morning, it doesn’t get done.
So I make sure it’s the first thing I do.
And I’m pretty strict about this.
Doesn’t matter what day it is…
Or if I’m out of town (like I was last week when visiting my sister)…
I still get up every morning and I write this email.
Why?
Because it’s the most important part of my business.
And if I tried to write it later in the day, it would never get done.
I’d be too busy.
Or I’d get tired and not want to do it.
So I write first thing in the morning.
That’s what works for me.
And it might work for you as well.
The key is to figure out the time of the day when you write the best.
For some people this is in the evening…
For others it’s late into the night…
I don’t think it really matters when you do it…
But you most likely have a 2-3 hour block where you get more writing done than any other time of the day.
So you want to figure out when that “magic time” is…
And then stick to it day after day.
Make sense?
I hope so.
Cause that’s all I got for ya today.
Enjoy your Thursday…
