Last week I wrote an email for one of our Copy Accelerator members that did 4x more revenue than his control.

A normal email this guys sends to his list brings in $1500-$2000 in revenue.
The one I wrote brought in over $7000.
So what did I do to get him such a big boost?
I tapped into what everyone is thinking about.
Coronavirus.
This is a technique I teach called “topical news stories”.
And it works perfect for emails.
Basically whatever your list is thinking about…
You write about that.
And since everyone is thinking about Coronavirus right now, that’s what I wrote about.
And here’s the best part…
The product this guy is selling has absolutely nothing to do with the coronavirus.
His product isn’t an immunity booster like Vitamin C…
He’s not selling big buckets of survival food.
He’s selling an info product in the health niche that has nothing to do with coronavirus (think like a brain health offer, or a heart health offer).
But the email still crushed.
Why?
Because it tapped into the power of using a topical news story.
And this strategy works for emails…
It works for Facebook ads…
It works for leads on sales pages…
Basically it works for everything.
And all you have to do is know what’s on people’s minds to use it.
You have to know what they’re worried about…
What they’re angry about…
That’s the key.
BTW this is why most of my emails lately have all been about the coronavirus…
Or the recession that’s coming…
Cause that’s what’s on people’s minds right now.
So I’m writing about it.
