Last night, I went to a book tour event, and one of the speakers (Joel Runyon) had a great question that he proposed to everyone…
“What are you willing to endure to get the life you want?”
That question really resonated with me.
Why?
Cause in my experience, a lot of people have an idea of their end goal…
Might be an 8-figure business…
Or making $100k as a copywriter…
But most people have never really given any thought to what they’re willing to do to make that happen.
Like are you willing to work 4 hours a day learning this stuff while also working your 9-5 job?
Are you willing to go through long stretches where nothing works, and you feel like a failure all the time?
Are you willing to reach out to potential clients and get rejected over and over again?
Are you ok with constantly doubting yourself and feeling like you have no idea what you’re doing?
Are you willing to have friends and family thinking you’re crazy, or an idiot?
Hopefully you are…
Cause this is the reality of starting a business…
You won’t be successful right out of the gate.
It takes a lot of effort…
A lot of mistakes…
And you’re gonna have to endure a bunch of stuff that you’re not prepared for.
But if you really want to hit that end goal…
You have to be willing to endure these things.
Which is why this is such a powerful question…
In it’s simplest form, it’s saying…
“Sure, you want to accomplish this thing…but what are you willing to do to make that happen?”
The reality for most people is that they’re not willing to do the things necessary to make it happen.
So if you have big goals…
And you have a final “destination” in mind…
I encourage you to ask yourself this question.
“What are you willing to endure to make this happen?”
Simply asking that question will save you a lot of headaches in the long run.
Make sense?
I hope so.
Cause that’s all I got for ya today.
Enjoy your Tuesday,
