I have a theory that anytime you’re doing something that is not “normal” you’re probably on the right path.
Why?
Cause if you round up 100 “normal” people…
And you look at their lives…
Odds are they’ll be broke, overweight and unhappy.
That’s what “normal” is.
This is why most of what I do in my day-to-day life is NOT normal.
For example…
I usually workout 3-4x a week…
I’m meticulous about what I eat…
I track all my income and expenses…
I read books on investing…
I go to bed by 10 almost every night…
I make money based on the results I generate (with no guaranteed pay)…
I don’t drink alcohol.
I try to get an hour of sun each day.
I work on my emotional intelligence…
I put more focus on my friendships than I do on social media.
None of this is “normal”.
And from the outside, I probably look like the weird one to a lot of people.
But guess what?
I’m ok with that.
Cause I don’t have any interest in being “normal”.
Cause I know what “normal” is…
Normal is having $10,000 in credit card debt…
Normal is being 60 lbs overweight and on 4 different medications…
Normal is waking up unhappy and feeling miserable all day long…
That’s normal.
So my advice?
Anytime you find yourself on the opposite side of what’s “normal”…
You’re probably on the right path.
Cause “normal” is broke, fat and unhappy.
And you don’t want that.
You want to be great.
And you can’t be great if you’re always doing the same “normal” things as everyone else.
That’s a simple idea…
But it’s one that can change your life if you take it to heart.
So give it some thought…
And enjoy your Sunday,
– Justin
